What I've been up to

So #carbs, so good. 😋 I often like to ask 'why', and life often asks me back 'why not'? And I usually don't have an answer for this. So, why not eat local #food with wine, at an Italian restaurant with portraits of topless women on the walls? 😂 #Lastnightgram of a nice #dinner paired with good conversation. 🙂 #FoodPics #Foodstagram #Burpple #SgFood #FoodSg #Instafood_Sg #Noodles
All good things are wild and free, someone famous once said. But everything comes at a cost - for that, one potentially needs to give up familiarity, routine, relationships, responsibilities and the enriching rewards that could come with it, and acquire some other things one might not have asked for, like societal judgment and loneliness. But the grass usually looks greener on the other side, doesn't it? 😅🤔 Lines are hardly ever clearly demarcated in real life though, so it's quite possible to wander around on both sides, but it can get tiring because then.. do you ever really belong anywhere? So... which side of the fence do you want to be on? 🙂 #RandomMusings #Ootd #Self #Girl #WildAndFree
This dish is essentially 2 of my top favourite #foods combined together. 😍 I'm greedy and I like to have the best of both worlds... where I can, anyway. I am aware, that always having half and half means you'll never get to have the full benefit or satisfaction or one thing, and never really belong on one side or the other. But it's nice to have variety! 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, heard about this new #unagi place with #hitsumabushi bowls starting from S$9.80++ (whuuttt?!) so decided to give it a try. And I loved it! 🤗 The #eel was tender, nicely roasted and coated with a delicious savoury sauce, and the #sashimi cubes seemed pretty fresh. It's not the super premium stuff but for the prices (this was $16.80++ I think) it's something that one can enjoy more often, so thumbs up from me. 👍 #Dinner #Throwback #Yummy #UnaUnaSg #SgFood #SgFoodstagram #Instafood_Sg #Burpple #FoodPics #FoodSg #WhatI8
Because (social) #dancing is literally the most #fun and sustainable #exercise I can do for life that burns a vaguely decent amount of calories 😁😂🙃 Had such wooonderful #bachata #dances with @marcoespejo22 and @carlos2redondo at #SensualSensation a week plus ago woohoo! 😍 Thanks @maxsensual @cherylqiaorou and Suli for organising (and the contest to win tickets too lol) and @alicias_journal @rosesandrambles for videoing ❤️ . #BachataDancing #ZiggyBachata #BachataIsTakingOver #SocialDancing #SocialDanceTV #SimplyFunDancing
Just some brightly coloured #food for my #feed because I decided to start eating interesting new things again. First time at @bearded.bella and it was nice. 🙂 #Weekend #Brunch #SgCafe #CafeSg #Burpple #Instafood_Sg #SgFoodstagram #SgFood #SgCafeHopping
I've been described as a social butterfly on more than one occasion, but never really felt that way about myself, because I thought that I prefer to have deep conversations with like-minded souls (or even people I may disagree with for more interesting discussions). But this also makes me think - maybe there is a disconnect between how other people and I, see me. 😶 Or maybe, I often 'social butterfly' it out because I will take all the human interaction I can get, because connecting with another human being often brings such joy or depth to our lives. Or because I'm simply afraid of being #lonely. Maybe that's why I've been so hooked on social dancing, and Zouk in particular, because in the midst of dancing with another person, it's far less difficult to feel alone. It's also a time I sort of manage to quieten my roaring thoughts and try my best to be #present for the dance, for whoever's my partner at that moment. So anyway, for whoever's ever thought that I'm a social butterfly... Well, I'm not always that way and often, I feel so very awkward in certain social situations and there's this voice in my head going 'omgomgomgwhatamIdoing' (can you tell?). 🙂 Picture taken by the lovely @lorna_jazz.
